IAU’s Kathmandu, Nepal (IAUNP), International Satellite Campus is a collaborative academic partnership with the Model Institute of Technology (MIT) recognized by the Ministry of Education, Science, and Technology, Government of Nepal.

IAU and MIT are proud to offer the Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA), Bachelor of Information Technology (BIT), and Master of Business Administration (MBA) to the students. This “American bridge” will be the first of many IAU programs to be offered in this joint collaboration.  

Kathmandu, Nepal is known for its spectacular natural riches combined with a vibrant culture and sense of history. Home to ten of the world’s 14 highest mountains, the country offers a magnificent setting for hiking and mountaineering, as well as some of the world’s best white water rafting. 

For students, Nepal is generally a safe destination for tourists, travelers, and foreigners. Nepal has a low crime rate, and the people are friendly and welcoming to visitors.

Durbar Square

As such, the square remains the traditional heart of the old town and Kathmandu’s most spectacular legacy of traditional architecture.

Swayambhunath Stupa

The Swayambhunath Stupa is one of the crowning glories of Kathmandu Valley architecture. This perfectly proportioned monument rises through a whitewashed dome to a gilded spire, from where four iconic faces of the Buddha stare out across the valley in the cardinal directions.

Dharahara

Dharahara or Bhimsen Stambha is a 72-metre-tall (236 ft) tower at the centre of Sundhara, Kathmandu, Nepal. It was first built in 1832 by Mukhtiyar (equivalent to Prime Minister) Bhimsen Thapa under the commission of Queen Lalit Tripurasundari and was a part of the architecture of Kathmandu recognized by UNESCO.

Garden of Dreams

The beautifully restored Swapna Bagaicha (Garden of Dreams) remains one of the most serene and beautiful enclaves in Kathmandu.
