I hold an MA in Economics and an MPhil in Rural Development, grounding my expertise in both theoretical understanding and practical application of rural transformation, sustainable livelihoods, and inclusive development.

My work bridges the domains of economic analysis, policy research, and field-based development, with a strong focus on agroforestry, rural-urban migration, environmental sustainability, and local governance. I have supervised numerous research projects and mentored postgraduate scholars in crafting evidence-based, context-specific studies that contribute to Nepal’s development discourse.

Over the years, I have engaged with key development actors, including academic institutions, civil society organizations, and local governments, contributing to research, capacity-building, and policy advocacy. I am particularly passionate about aligning my work with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and promoting data-driven and people-centered approaches to address rural poverty, inequality, and climate vulnerability.

Biography
Reflecting on my academic and professional journey, I recognize how deeply my work has been guided by a commitment to understanding human behaviour, promoting psychological well-being, and contributing meaningfully to higher education. My career integrates research, teaching, counselling, and community engagement, all grounded in the belief that education and mental health awareness are essential foundations for individual and societal growth.

I earned my Ph.D. in Psychology from Aligarh Muslim University in 2018, following advanced degrees in Psychology and specialized training in Counselling & Guidance and Organizational Behaviour. My doctoral work focused on work–life balance, well-being, and organizational commitment—research areas that continue to shape my scholarly direction. I have received advanced training in research methodology, quantitative data analysis, and data analytics, including academic workshops conducted at the University of Delhi and the Royal University of Bhutan. My research interests span organizational psychology, workplace mental health, resilience, employee engagement, and applied therapeutic interventions.

My scholarly contributions include peer-reviewed publications in national and international journals examining work–life balance, job satisfaction, consumer psychology, women’s empowerment, and life satisfaction among professionals. I have presented my research at international conferences across multiple countries, contributing to academic dialogue on organizational commitment, well-being, and social psychology. My forthcoming publication explores the integration of hypnotherapy into workplace stress management strategies, reflecting my interest in bridging empirical research with practical intervention models.

Teaching and student development are central to my professional identity. I have delivered Psychology and Sociology curricula at secondary and pre-university levels, employing research-informed, student-centred pedagogies that encourage analytical thinking, ethical reflection, and application of theory to real-world contexts. I design formative and summative assessments aligned with international standards and integrate technology-enhanced instruction to strengthen engagement and learning outcomes. My approach emphasizes mentorship, inclusive education, and the cultivation of independent, critical thinkers.

Alongside teaching, I bring substantial experience in counselling and applied psychological practice within educational and clinical environments. My work has included conducting psychoeducational assessments, developing individualized intervention plans, providing therapeutic and behavioural support, and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to promote student and patient well-being. I have delivered workshops on resilience, life skills, parenting strategies, and mental health awareness, supporting diverse populations with academic, emotional, and developmental needs.

Through nonprofit initiatives, I have provided counselling and program coordination for underserved communities, organized outreach initiatives, and supported youth development programs. Biography
Dr. Zhou Yiqing is an experienced educator, researcher, and academic administrator with over 15 years in higher education, academic leadership, and international collaboration. She currently serves as Associate Dean of the Asia-Pacific Institute of Law at Renmin University of China, overseeing academic administration, institutional development, and international exchange initiatives.

Throughout her career, Dr. Zhou has combined expertise in business administration, education management, law, and applied economics. Her academic and professional work focuses on bridging theory and practice, helping students and professionals develop the knowledge and skills needed to succeed in today's complex, rapidly changing global environment.

Dr. Zhou has conducted research and taught in business management, organizational leadership, legal studies, risk management, and economic development. She completed postdoctoral research in Applied Economics at Beijing Jiaotong University and has presented at numerous academic conferences on topics including enterprise management, legal education, regional economic cooperation, and the Belt and Road Initiative.
