Dr. Ryan Doan boasts an extensive history in higher education administration, commencing his journey in 2001. Prior to his pivotal role at International American University (IAU) in 2005, Dr. Doan held key positions, such as the Director of Administration at Irvine University College of Law, Cerritos, CA and the Director of Development at California Coast University, Santa Ana, CA.

Since assuming the role of Chief Executive Officer at IAU in 2005, Dr. Doan has played a crucial role in shaping the institution. His contributions include steering IAU through the intricacies of gaining government approvals, establishing a robust operational infrastructure, formulating comprehensive policies and procedures, fostering student growth, and securing institutional accreditation with the Transnational Association of Christian Colleges and Schools (TRACS).

As President/CEO, Under Dr. Doan’s visionary leadership, IAU has expanded its reach, establishing satellite campuses in southern and northern California. Furthermore, IAU has extended its global footprint with international satellite campuses in Nepal, Mongolia, Vietnam, UAE, and France, while securing reaffirmation of accreditation with TRACS through 2023. True to its Christian mission, IAU has excelled in providing a quality education at a competitive tuition rate, positioning itself as one of the most affordable business schools, not only in Los Angeles, but worldwide.

Dr. Doan’s commitment to postsecondary education goes beyond administrative roles. Dr. Doan’s involvement as a Program Advisory Committee (PAC) Member for Business Degree Programs with Kingston University from 2020 to present and as a Board of Director with Rochester University from 2024 to present, further underscores his passion for shaping the future of higher education.
