My experience at IAU gave me a strong foundation that I apply in my CPT role at a home care agency, especially in business communication, organization, and client coordination. Courses like Accounting, Business Communication, Business Math, and Statistics, along with case-based learning, strengthened my confidence and workplace skills.

Were you able to apply what you learned at IAU to your work?

Yes, my experience at IAU gave me a strong foundation that I apply in my professional role. The Business Communication skills I learned, such as writing professional emails, clear communication, and proper workplace etiquette, have been especially valuable in my internship at a home care agency, where I regularly interact with clients, caregivers, and supervisors with greater confidence and professionalism.

Which methods, lessons, and instructors did you find helpful?

All my subjects used practical, case-based learning that helped build my confidence and workplace skills, especially in my CPT role.

Professor Andrea Proctor strengthened my business communication and writing skills, while Professor Daisy Perez made learning clear and easy to understand.

Overall, IAU instructors and staff were very supportive and helpful, which contributed to my academic success and professional growth.

What particular classes/programs were beneficial?

Particular classes that were most beneficial to me included Accounting, Business Communication, Business Math, and Statistics, as they helped strengthen both my analytical and professional communication skills, which I now apply in my CPT role.

What benefits did you gain in terms of planning your career?

My studies at IAU helped me plan my career by giving me a clearer understanding of my strengths and the type of work I want to pursue in the healthcare and administrative field. The combination of Accounting, Business Communication, Business Math, and Statistics prepared me for my CPT role by building my organizational, communication, and analytical skills.

My internship experience also provided hands-on training that helped me transition smoothly into a professional environment. While networking opportunities were limited, I was still able to build valuable connections with instructors, staff, and colleagues, which supported my learning and career development.

Do you have comments about the program flexibility, class size, and workload?

The program was flexible and manageable, which made it easier to balance academic work with my CPT responsibilities. Class sizes were reasonable, allowing for more interaction with instructors and better understanding of the lessons.

The workload was structured and focused on practical assignments, which helped reinforce learning without being overwhelming. Overall, the program provided a supportive learning environment that future students can benefit from, especially in preparing for real workplace experience.

What is your message or suggestion to the IAU staff?

I would like to thank the IAU staff for their continuous support and dedication throughout my studies. The guidance provided by instructors and staff played an important role in my academic and professional growth.

I encourage the university to continue maintaining its practical, career-focused approach and supportive learning environment, as it greatly benefits students preparing for real-world experience.

I am grateful for the opportunity to work under CPT as an administrative intern. This experience has allowed me to apply my academic knowledge in a real-world setting, especially in communication, organization, and client coordination. I have gained hands-on experience in supporting daily operations, assisting caregivers, and managing client information. This role has strengthened my professional skills and deepened my understanding of responsibilities in the healthcare field while contributing to quality care for clients.
