ACBSP Candidacy

A hard way is over

The Accreditation Council for Business Schools and Programs (ACBSP) is pleased to announce that IAU is a candidate for ACBSP accreditation of its business programs and for separate accreditation of its accounting program.

As a candidate for ACBSP accreditation, IAU will be assigned a mentor to guide them through the accreditation process. IAU will be required to prepare a self-study of our current business programs. Peer evaluators then follow-up with a site visit. The ACBSP Baccalaureate/Graduate Degree Board of Commissioners will grant final approval of accreditation.

“We are delighted to have International American University as a candidate for ACBSP accreditation,” said Dr. Steve Parscale, Chief Accreditation Officer for ACBSP. “The fact that International American University is pursuing ACBSP accreditation shows their commitment to providing the highest quality business education for their students,” he said.

Celebrating 33 years of excellence in global business program accreditation, ACBSP was the first organization to offer specialized business accreditation for all degree levels, from associate to baccalaureate to doctoral degree programs, and the first to offer certificate accreditation. IAU President Ryan Doan expressed, “I am excited that IAU has been accepted by ACBSP. It is an honor. Achieving accreditation with TRACS was the first step. Now, IAU is moving onto the next step to demonstrate IAU’s dedication towards achieving quality and excellence.”
