Since June 2015, Surendra has been at the helm as the Principal of Kathmandu Model College, Bagbazar, and Kathmandu Model Secondary School, Lalitpur. In this capacity, he has demonstrated strategic leadership, overseeing academic strategies, policies, and fostering collaborations with universities.

Mr. Surendra Subedi, a distinguished educator and leader, was born on January 27, 1982, in Bharatpur, Chitwan, Nepal. Armed with a rich academic background, Surendra has carved an illustrious career in the field of education, administration, and law. Surendra’s academic journey reflects his commitment to knowledge and encompasses a diverse range of disciplines. He obtained his M.Phil. in English with a specialization in Conflict Management from Tribhuvan University in 2011. His academic pursuits also include Master’s degrees in English and Sociology, an LLB in Constitutional Law, a Bachelor’s in Education, and a Bachelor’s in Arts with majors in English and Sociology.

Since June 2015, Surendra has been at the helm as the Principal of Kathmandu Model College, Bagbazar, and Kathmandu Model Secondary School, Lalitpur. In this capacity, he has demonstrated strategic leadership, overseeing academic strategies, policies, and fostering collaborations with universities. His tenure has been marked by a dedication to educational processes aligned with curriculum goals. Prior to this, Surendra served as the Academic Director/Acting Principal at BernHardt College, Bafal, Kathmandu, from June 2011 to May 2015. Here, he managed day-to-day operations, academic collaborations, and provided leadership at the faculty level. Surendra’s contributions extend beyond administrative roles. He served as the Human Rights Education Project Coordinator at Youth Civil Society, Nepal, from April to November 2012, where he played a pivotal role in providing human rights education to students in Kathmandu.

A prolific author, Surendra has edited journals and contributed to academic research papers and book chapters. His writings delve into diverse topics such as the implementation of the semester system, mediation in conflict management, and diaspora consciousness. Surendra is an active member of professional associations, including the Nepal English Language Teacher Association (NELTA) and the Nepal Bar Association. He has received special honors, serving as the President of Adarsha Sahitya Samaj, Chitwan, from 2003 to 2005. Fluent in Nepali, English, Hindi, and with satisfactory proficiency in German, Surendra holds licenses as an advocate and secondary level teacher. His commitment to professional development is evident through his participation in conferences, workshops, and training programs, including representing Nepal at the Microsoft World Summit in 2014. As of his last update in April 2020, Surendra Subedi continues to make significant contributions to education, exemplifying leadership, scholarly excellence, and a dedication to human rights education.
