His journey began in the 1980s at his alma mater, Madras University, where he laid the foundation for his remarkable career in academia and administration. Before stepping into his current role as Administrative Head at International American University, Dr. Shariff held several influential positions, including Principal, and as a Dean, Registrar, Professor and Head of Department of Biotechnolgy at the Birla Institute of Technology and Science-Pilani, Dubai.
As a Professor, Dr. Shariff emerged as a thought leader in his field, contributing to research, guiding doctoral students, and publishing scholarly articles. His ability to inspire and guide students and faculty alike established him as a respected academic figure. Transitioning into administrative roles, Dr. Shariff served as Head of the Department. He also played a pioneering role in launching Parasailing, Rock Climbing, and Horse Riding courses, underscoring his passion for holistic education and experiential learning.
