Joint Teaching Agreement

IAU Main Campus (IAULA) may enter into a Joint Teaching Agreement (JTA) with qualified institutions to enhance academic delivery and expand educational access while maintaining institutional oversight and academic integrity. A Joint Teaching Agreement (JTA) is a formal, written contractual arrangement under which another accredited or otherwise appropriately authorized institution provides instruction for designated courses, modules, or defined portions of an academic program on behalf of IAULA. Such agreements do not transfer academic authority; IAULA retains ultimate responsibility for the academic quality, integrity, and oversight of all courses and programs offered under the agreement.

The purpose of a JTA is to:

  • Expand instructional capacity and subject-matter expertise;
  • Facilitate collaborative academic partnerships;

  • Provide students with access to specialized resources or faculty;
  • Support strategic program delivery initiatives consistent with IAU’s mission.

Under any JTA, IAULA shall:

  • Maintain full academic control and oversight of curriculum, learning outcomes, and assessment standards;
  • Approve all instructors teaching under the agreement, ensuring appropriate qualifications consistent with institutional and accreditor standards;
  • Ensure that courses delivered under the JTA align with IAU’s approved curriculum and academic policies;
  • Monitor instructional quality, student performance, and compliance with applicable regulatory and accreditation requirements;
  • Retain authority over grading policies, academic records, and the awarding of academic credit and degrees.

The eduPartner institution must:

  • Demonstrate appropriate legal authorization and, where applicable, recognized accreditation or quality assurance standing;
  • Employ qualified faculty who meet IAU’s credentialing standards;
  • Comply with all applicable federal, state, and international regulations;
  • Adhere to IAULA’s academic policies, student protection standards, and data privacy requirements.

Each JTA shall clearly define:

  • Scope of instructional services;
  • Roles and responsibilities of each party;
  • Faculty qualifications and approval processes;
  • Financial arrangements;

  • Student support services;
  • Quality assurance and review mechanisms;
  • Term, renewal, and termination conditions;
  • Compliance with applicable accreditation and regulatory requirements.

All Joint Teaching Agreements must undergo institutional review and receive formal approval by IAULA’s designated academic and executive leadership prior to execution. Agreements shall be periodically reviewed to ensure continued compliance, effectiveness, and alignment with IAULA’s strategic objectives.

IAULA remains fully accountable for the academic quality and integrity of any program or course delivered under a Joint Teaching Agreement.
