IAU is excited to introduce specialized concentrations in Criminal Justice for both its Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) and Master of Business Administration (MBA) programs, starting in the summer of 2024. The goal is to equip students with the knowledge and skills needed for law enforcement, criminology, and criminal policy.
Led by Professor John Strain, a retired law enforcement professional with over 30 years of experience. The program boasts expert faculty, most with 20+ years of law enforcement experience. This ensures students receive real-world insights and practical knowledge. Additionally, Prof Strain holds a B.S. Occupational Studies Vocational Arts and a M.S. Emergency Services Administration from California State University, Long Beach, CA.
IAU is actively working with the California Police Officers Standards and Training (POST) for Certification for the Criminal Justice Program, aligning it with the highest industry standards. The program is designed to support Veterans and former military personnel, offering tailored assistance for their unique skills.
Additionally, IAU will introduce a Basic Criminal Justice class for existing students, providing foundational understanding of key principles, procedures, and dynamics within the field. The first course is expected to be available for enrollment by Summer Session 1, 2024.
These developments highlight IAU’s commitment to providing relevant, career-oriented education, empowering students to contribute to the evolving field of criminal justice. Stay tuned for more details as we approach the summer of 2024.
