On Tuesday, September 24, 2024, IAU had an unannounced site visit from the State of California Bureau for Private Postsecondary Education (BPPE). Byron Bond, Associate Governmental Program Analyst, appeared at the IAU Main Campus in Los Angeles at 9:00 AM sharp. Mr. Bond conducted the site visit, requesting evidence, faculty and student records, and other compliance documents.
This unannounced BPPE site visit created additional stress for the IAU team since the TRACS accreditation site visit was also scheduled to start that day. The IAU leadership team was able to organize and compile the necessary documents quickly and promptly. Mr. Bond observed a live class and conducted a mass student interview.
Mr. Bond was satisfied with the evidence that was provided, class observed, responses from the students, and concluded the visit with zero findings. This is a testament to IAU‘s compliance, record-keeping, and ability to respond quickly to handle surprise compliance visits.
As required by law, a sign is visibly posted at the campus to notify the IAU community about the site inspection.
