Bachelor of Information Technology (BIT) Approved

Students have spoken and IAU listens.  IAU is thrilled to announce an academic achievement that marks a significant milestone in the collaborative academic journey with Model Institute of Technology (MIT), Kathmandu, Nepal  – the approval of the Bachelor of Information Technology (BIT) program!

In the past few years, Nepal has emerged as an ideal destination for offshore outsourcers. Nepal offers a skilled workforce in science and technology, finance and accounting, human resource, and other sectors. The market for tech talent is borderless—physical or otherwise. In a sense, access to a laptop and an internet connection are the only assets a tech worker needs to be gainfully employed. The demand for more technology programs in Nepal has never been higher.

The BIT program offers a well-rounded curriculum designed to equip students with the latest skills and knowledge in the dynamic world of Information Technology. Through internships, students will gain hands-on experience and develop practical skills that align with industry needs, ensuring they are well-prepared for the challenges of the tech-driven world. Graduates of the BIT program will be well-positioned for diverse career opportunities in areas such as software development, cybersecurity, data analytics, and more. IAU’s dedicated faculty members, composed of industry experts and seasoned educators, will guide and mentor students throughout their academic journey. Prospective students, graduates, faculty members’ involvement is crucial to the success of this new program!

Unfortunately, this program is not yet certified by the Student and Exchange Visitor Program (SEVP) for F-1 students. Once it is, IAU will be offering the BIT in Los Angeles and Orange County campuses. Stay tuned for more updates!
