ASBA and BBA Concentration in Paralegal Studies

ASBA and BBA Concentration in Paralegal Studies

IAU is pleased to announce the launch of a new Concentration in Paralegal Studies (PLS) within its Associate of Science in Business Administration (ASBA) and Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) programs.

This new concentration is designed for students interested in gaining foundational legal knowledge and practical skills that support the legal profession and business environment. The Paralegal Studies concentration will provide students with coursework in legal research and writing, civil litigation procedures, legal ethics, and business law, preparing them to assist attorneys and legal professionals in a variety of legal and corporate settings.

To earn the concentration in the ASBA, students will have to complete a minimum of 3 LAW courses, while the BBA requires the completion of 8 LAW courses. By integrating legal studies with business education, the concentration equips students with valuable competencies applicable to law firms, corporate legal departments, government agencies, and compliance-related roles within organizations.

The addition of the Paralegal Studies concentration reflects IAU’s continued commitment to expanding academic opportunities that align with workforce needs and provide students with practical, career-oriented education.
