Like the Doctor of Business Administration (DBA), the Doctor of Management (DM) is a professional doctorate degree. However, instead of a focus on business administration and quantitative subject areas, the focus of the DM is on management. Earning a DM provides management professionals and business degree holders with the advanced skills in research, analysis, theory and practice needed to attain leadership positions in business, government, or education. The program creates an opportunity for the student to demonstrate application of the knowledge and skills gained in the course work portion of the program and to demonstrate the critical thinking and analytical skills required to successfully complete the Doctoral Project.

While working full-time as an Assistant Manager at Latent View Analytics, I completed my program at IAU. The structured dissertation track and courses like Executive Leadership Strategy enhanced my critical thinking and leadership skills. Professors like Dr. Sherm and Dr. Tehrani provided invaluable support, and the flexibility of the program made it manageable and impactful.

As the first graduate of IAU’s Doctor of Management program, I now serve as a Business and Marketing professor at the same institution. The program’s practical focus and strong faculty support, especially from Dr. Sherm, Dr. Tehrani, and Dr. Assaf, helped me bridge industry experience with academic excellence. It shaped my leadership, research, and teaching in lasting ways.

The DM program enhanced my executive skills with a more confident approach and a different dynamic. Meeting classmates from different parts of the world has greatly enriched both my professional and personal life. I have connected with peers who are already established professionals in their respective countries, and these connections are invaluable and life-changing.

As Vice President at Reliance Industries Ltd, I completed my Doctorate in Management at IAU while working full-time. The flexible program and support from Dr. Sherm and Dr. Tehrani helped me explore real healthcare challenges in India and inspired my goal to open a multispeciality hospital.
