Since 2000

In 2000, a group of professionals started a business consulting company, focusing on training today’s leaders to be super leaders through team building, activity-based consulting. They enabled individuals to move beyond their comfort zone and achieve real performance improvement. They decided to transfer their knowledge of business management to the classroom.

International Business Education

Long Story Short

MANAGEMENT UNIVERSITY OF AMERICA, INC. was incorporated in the State of California in 2005 and MIA sought CA State approval as a formalized institution of higher learning in 2006, focusing on what it knew best – business. In late 2006, MANAGEMENT UNIVERSITY OF AMERICA, INC. legally changed its name to INTERNATIONAL AMERICAN UNIVERSITY, INC., with its emphasis on international business education. IAU’s offerings include an Associate, a Bachelor, two Masters, and a professional Doctorate degree program. By focusing on business education, IAU can ensure a concentrated faculty body, specialized curriculum, and rich student- faculty interaction.

IAU’s faculties are business professionals who have made an impact on developing organizations to go from “good to great”. The school’s curriculum was a matter of harnessing current business and organizing it to fit in a classroom format. The real challenge was adapting the curricula to a medium that would make it possible to teach across time and space for the convenience of the adult student. As a student, you are assured that the training and education you receive will be practical in the professional arena, while benefitting from the expertise of professionals in the industry.

Unwavering Faith, Unyielding Commitment

Faith Statement

IAU has a goal to be a vibrant Christian university that is committed to distinctively Christian beliefs, values and practices in accord with its mission and objectives. While the university is clear about its identity as a Christian university and its foundational convictions, IAU is intentionally committed to living out the faith and providing an example of Christian values and morality. IAU is strongly committed to guiding our students to become socially responsible, compassionate leaders by making an enduring impact on their communities.

IAU is an interdenominational university and embraces students of all faiths or no faith. The hope is to introduce Christian life and principles to those seeking a religious identity.

IAU subscribes to the following Faith Statement:

  • We believe that God eternally exists in three persons—the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit—having precisely the same nature and attributes.
  • We believe God, by the word of power, created from nothing the heavens and the earth and all that is in them. God further preserves and governs all creatures and all their actions according to God’s most holy, wise, and powerful providence.
  • We believe that humanity was created in the image of God, good and upright, but fell from his state of innocence by voluntary disobedience of God.
  • We believe that salvation is entirely by the grace of God, apart from human works or merit, and that it is received through faith in Jesus Christ, who died for our sins.
  • We believe that there is a personal devil who seeks to tempt and separate people from God.
  • We believe the bodies of people, after death, return to dust and see corruption, but their souls, which neither die or sleep, having an immortal subsistence, immediately return to God who gave them.
